Homemade Walker/Push Cart
With this Homemade Walker/Push Cart, which provides both steering and a handlebar to lean on, one with a back problem and/or mobility limitation can transport small loads of feed, tools, and other materials around the farmstead. The cart is built from bicycle parts and rebar as follows: (1) 10-foot-long rebars bent so as to form two 20- x 40-inch rectangular frames; (2) Rebar rods welded across the bottom frame (on which to lay plywood) and between the bottom and top frames, making it into a rack; (3) The rack welded onto the yokes of two bicycle wheels, making it into a wheeled cart; (4) Two 18-inch iron bars welded to a bicycle wheel’s handlebar stem and to the corners of the cart.
