Material Lift Dolly
A Material Lift Dolly can help workers with back, arm and leg impairments lift and move heavy objects. Cases of apple cider, pails of honey, carboys of wine, beehives, chemical jugs, engine parts, etc., can be lifted, moved, and repositioned to be placed on lower or higher shelves, tables, or trucks while minimizing the risk of back strain. One is reportedly able to load up, raise (from 6 to 60 inches high), transport, then deposit most any size/shape item weighing up to 500 pounds. Winch power is via foot pump or hand crank (a right-angle cordless 12-volt ratchet wrench can substitute for the hand crank). It has larger fixed wheels in the back and lockable smaller casters wheel in front. Some makes/models have deck side-lips, come with twin rollers for easier loading, provide twin forks for pallet lifting, or can be converted into a hand truck or standard dolly.
