Moore Bin/Tank-Level Proximity Sensor
Farmers with vision impairments or difficulty climbing can use the Moore Bin/Tank-Level Proximity Sensor (MA-135). Mounted on the structure’s exterior (usually at two or three different heights), it monitors fill-level of the incoming contents. When that level reaches the sensor, its relay switch activates an audio alarm and a flashing light, and/or shuts off the auger or pump, depending on how the device was programmed. Having no moving parts and reportedly not affected by cold or dust, the MA-135 can be used on dry-product-containing bins; and being reportedly watertight, it can be used on liquid-containing tanks.
Cost: $200 per sensor
