Loader-Mounted Fence-Wire Winder
Workers with leg, back, and arm impairments can use a Loader-Mounted Fence-Wire Winder to roll up fence without lifting, bending, walking, or carrying. It can be used to remove fencing wire in such a way as to preserve its integrity for re-use. The device can reportedly “spool” into tight rolls up to a half-mile of barbed and a mile of smooth single, double, even triple wire in a matter of minutes. This type of winder affixes to a front-loader-equipped tractor, skid steer, or off-road vehicle and is powered by the machine’s hydraulic system, gas engine, or battery-powered motor (depending on make/model). Optional accessories include a guide arm and stand-alone power pack that can be utilized in other applications.
