Foot-Operated, Self-Locking Gate Latch

The Foot-Operated, Self-Locking Gate Latch can be opened with one’s foot when both hands are occupied. A spring-loaded pin on the gate snaps into a hole in the fence post to latch the gate. A lever mechanism on the gate, which can be pushed with the foot, pulls the pin out of the post, and the gate swings open. The hole in the bracket closest to the lever should be slotted vertically to allow free movement of the sliding pin.
