Attached to one’s glasses frame, the OrCam MyEye 2.0 Optical Assistance Device reads text from any surface (e.g., printed pages, smartphone screen, labels), recognizes people’s faces, identifies objects/images, etc. That captured information is then converted into audio for transmission through a tiny speaker that rests above the wearer’s ear or through a connected Bluetooth device. All this is accomplished in real time and off-line.
