Spread-Rite Bedding Spreader Attachment

The Spread-Rite Bedding Spreader Attachment is designed to spread wood shavings or sawdust evenly across poultry barn floors. Made for use with compact or sub-compact tractors having hydraulic front-mount drives and lifts (e.g., Steiner, Ventrac), the 60-inch-wide, 20-inch-high, heavy-duty steel attachment is open at the front and bottom. It consists of a rotating spreader reel, which breaks up and tosses forward the bedding, and adjustable gauge wheels, which control bedding depth (3/4 inch to 3 inches) with the turn of a crank. The reel drive is on one side so that, on the other side, the bedding can be spread right up against the wall, eliminating empty floor space and need for hand spreading. By disengaging the drive, the attachment can reportedly be used to push piles of shavings throughout the barn for later spreading.
