The Fiskars PowerGear Bolt Cutter reportedly provides 30% more power for cutting a range of heavy-duty items (e.g., padlocks, chains, rebars, metal rods, threaded rods) than do standard bolt cutters. It’s designed to cut “soft” materials up to 5/16 inch and “hard” materials up to 3/16 inch. The tool’s adjustable eccentric bolts are designed to optimize the jaws to maintain cutting performance over time. Other features include: heat-treated, forged-steel blades designed to stay sharp and ergonomic handles with soft, textured grips for comfort and control.
