Dairy Parlor Wheelchair
Former dairyman Rick Buckland of Richmond, IN, worked from a Dairy Parlor Wheelchair, which was high and compact enough to allow him to reach the cows from the pit floor. Since he used the parlor pipes to pull the chair around, Buckland didn’t need to reach down to the wheels to propel the chair. Also, the chair featured 8-inch-diam-eter caster wheels to minimize the chance of tipping if it happened to hit a stone or a bump on the floor.
