Towed to and/or within the rotational-grazing pasture by ATV, tractor, or pickup, the Shade Haven Mobile Livestock Shade opens up into a 1,200 square foot canopy that’s large enough to accommodate 60-70 mature cattle at a time. Made of 80% shade factor black polypropylene shade cloth, it blocks the sun’s radiation while reportedly creating a light breeze underneath. It’s built like-and opens up like-a large Chinese fan, supported by tubular trusses and a tripod mounted on a tricycle transport. The canopy, which lays flat when open and is about 10 feet off the ground, can reportedly withstand 40 mph winds.
