Fiberglass Poultry Scalding Vat

Designed for dipping birds to loosen the feathers ahead of final plucking, this 14-gallon-capacity Fiberglass Poultry Scalding Vat employs thermostatically controlled heating elements to heat the water to a pre-set 155-158ºF. Three models are available-115-volt/1,500-watt single element, 115-volt/1,500-watt dual elements, and 240-volt/4,500-watt single element. The 115-volt single-element model heats to the pre-set temperature in 20-30 minutes, the other two heat up more quickly. The dual-element model allows either one or both to be plugged in. All three will scald 20-25 birds an hour.
