The PHC-3 Portable Hand Control is designed for drivers with lower extremity impairments who need a hand control that can be carried with him/her in something as small as a briefcase. Consisting of a handle across two telescoping ‘legs’ with a peddle attachment on each, it installs easily and quickly without tools onto the accelerator and brake peddle of any vehicles with an automatic transmission and (preferably) power brakes, The driver steers with one hand while operating the device with the other. Pulling back on the handle increases the throttle, while pushing forward on the handle accomplishes braking.
