The in-vehicle Glide ‘n Go Pickup Truck Transfer-Assist Seat lifts one from wheelchair or scooter up to the vehicle’s seat height, then rotates to where easy transfer can be made. Models are available for regular- or extended-cab pickups and for driver’s side, passenger’s side, and even back seat entry. Having a 250-pound weight capacity, the seat operates by hand-held remote that runs off the vehicle’s battery and has an emergency back-up system for safe exit should the battery die. Depending on type of pickup, there is an accessory that lifts and loads the folded wheelchair behind the driver’s seat.
