Machinery Fire Protection System

Fire is ever a possibility when debris (e.g., leaves, straw, crop residue) accumulates in the engine compartment, exhaust system, or other high-heat area of agricultural equipment. Designed to minimize that threat is Firetrace’s Machinery Fire Protection System, which detects then reportedly activates in seconds to suppress a fire before it causes significant damage. The System involves fire-detection tubing (FDT) anchored in those areas to be protected. The FDT is connected to on-board fire extinguisher cylinders that contain the appropriate suppressant (dry chemical powder, water, foam, or clean agent gas). If fire is detected, the extinguishing agent is automatically delivered to and released through the FDT.
