Tractor-Towed Flame Weeder

Touted as a cost-effective, non-chemical alternative, the Tractor-Towed Flame Weeder is designed to kill unwanted weeds and grasses, break down old growth to make room for new, and destroy insect habitat in agricultural crop fields. ‘Flaming’ can be done pre- and post- emergence on a wide variety of crops (e.g., grain, forage, vegetable, orchard, vineyard). Primarily utilizing propane as the ‘fuel,’ chemical residue or runoff is not a concern. The flame weeder is available either as a tractor-towed unit consisting of tank and flaming attachments or as a kit with flamers that can be mounted on a toolbar or cultivator.
