Hop-Lok Spring-Loaded Gate Latch

With the Hop-Lok Spring-Loaded Gate Latch, a pasture or feedlot gate can be opened and closed from either side. To open, one pulls back on the plunger knob, releasing plunger from catch plate. To close, the gate is merely swung back until plunger and plate reconnect, the pressure of the actuating spring latching it. The plunger is made of cold-finished machine steel, the spring of stainless steel, the knob of aluminum alloy, and the housing of drawn-over-mandrel steel tubing.
