Hatfield Vegetable Transplanter

The Hatfield Vegetable Transplanter lets one transplant single seedlings, tubers, bulbs, etc. from a standing position. Featuring adjustable handle height and depth-stop, the tool is operated as follows: a) hold handles apart; b) plunge it into the ground (or through plastic mulch) to the depth-stop; c) push handles together, opening a square hole; d) drop in the transplant; then lift the tool straight up, allowing the soil to collapse around the plant or cover the tuber/bulb. Opens a 1.5-, 2.0-, or 2.5-inch square hole, depending on model.
