Easy-Lift Back-Mounted Boom

Designed for use with hand held tools (weighing up to 16 pounds) that are operated in front of the user, this counterbalancing Easy-Lift Back-Mounted Boom takes the weight off of one’s arms. Anchored at the shoulders and waist and held up by a gas strut, the boom extends ahead of the user, with a rope running down from the end of it to the tool being held. The boom supports 95% of the tool’s weight while allowing unrestricted motion of one’s arms. This device is commonly used to support weed whackers, hedge shearers, and Christmas tree shearers and is made in various sizes.
