Navigating The Toolbox

The Toolbox is ordered according to this general arrangement:

  • Category
    • Subcategory
      • Heading (sub-subcategory)
        • Individual product/solution

When you choose a category, the subcategories will appear along with all the products listed under that category.

Within any category, subcategory, or heading, you can also filter products by:
  • Impairment category
    • Back
    • Hearing
    • Lower extremity
    • Memory
    • Respiratory
    • Strength/endurance
    • Upper extremity
    • Visual
    • All
  • Low-tech only
    • Within the context of The Toolbox, “Low-tech” means simply means the device can be fabricated with readily available parts and materials, simple to use with minimal training, inexpensive to create, and is practical for farm use. These concepts can be created with readily available local materials anywhere in the world, from Cambodia to Canada.
  • Only currently available products. Some products listed in The Toolbox are no longer produced, but their information is included for reference and archival purposes.
If you would like to filter across ALL CATEGORIES – for example, if you want all products in The Toolbox useful back impairments or all low-tech products – select Filter All Products on the home page. Within that option, you can filter by:
  • Impairment category
  • Low-tech only
  • Only currently available available products
You can also use a dropdown menu in Filter All Products to navigate to other categories, subcategories, and headings.
You can also see all the products in The Toolbox from specific suppliers by clicking the Suppliers link at the top of the any page.
