Program Overview

Rooted in Practical Experience

AgrAbility’s work has always been grounded in real agricultural settings. The program operates with an understanding that solutions must fit the pace, conditions, and constraints of agricultural work. This practical foundation enables AgrAbility to address virtually any type of disability in any kind of agricultural operation.

Designed to Adapt Over Time

Agriculture changes, and so do the challenges people face. Over the years, AgrAbility has incorporated new technologies, research, and partnerships while maintaining a consistent focus on usability and effectiveness. This ability to adapt has allowed the program to remain relevant across generations of agricultural producers.

Built on Collaboration

From its earliest days, AgrAbility has relied on partnerships that bring together agricultural expertise and disability services. Collaboration among land-grant universities, nonprofit organizations, vocational rehabilitation agencies, and

community partners has expanded both reach and impact.

National Reach, Local Application

AgrAbility operates as a national program with local presence. While guidance, training, and coordination are provided by the National AgrAbility Project, direct client services are delivered through state and regional projects that understand local agriculture, resources, and needs. In addition, the National AgrAbility Project provides limited services to individuals in states that do not have AgrAbility projects.
