Adapting, Not Quitting: 35 Years of AgrAbility

2026 marks 35 years of the USDA AgrAbility Program. This publication highlights the program’s history, statistics related to AgrAbility’s major initiatives, and 10 client and staff stories (many with video links) that illustrate the ways that AgrAbility can improve quality of life and cultivate independence for people with disabilities in agriculture.

USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture has supported AgrAbility for more than 35 years. The program is also grateful for its other supporters, like CHS Foundation, Farm Credit, NEC Foundation, Monsanto, LifeLyfts, Deere and Company, and ButcherBox, to name just a few.
