Porta-Grazer Slow Hay Feeder
Porta-Grazer Slow Hay Feeder

The Porta-Grazer Slow Hay Feeder allows stabled or confined horses to graze like pastured ones, i.e., head down and at a naturally slower pace, while preventing the contents from being picked through or dropped on the ground where parasites or sand may be ingested. The portable, 7.5 gallon capacity bucket is packed with an appropriate amount of feed, then a restrictor pan is placed on top. This pan has an arrangement of holes sized according to the horse's size and type of feed. The horse pulls the hay through the holes, in effect simulating natural grazing. The pan spins and moves from side to side, making the contents easily accessible; it lowers to the bottom as the hay is consumed. A small drain plug allows for soaking the feed if so desired and for the bucket to serve as a watering tough.
